This is a nice little mantle clock by Enfield. Case has been restored without adding stain, utilising the original stain in the timber brings up it's natural grain beautifully. The movement has been ultrasonically cleaned and properly oiled. It keeps time beautifully and has a surprisingly deep rich resonance when it gongs. I'm fairly certain it is pre-1940.

I love the wood and semi-porcelain face.
The veneer grain is very prominent now. Removing dead seal, soot and wax makes a huge difference. The face is very nice, slightly unusual with the Roman Numerals, attractive :)
