So, i buyed this inkpot not a long time go, maybe a few months. The seller said its Chinese but it could be Japanese too. This seem to be correct but although i have searched for HOURS to look for a similar inkpot.. i couldn't find one. Undernearth there is no mark or anything, nor in the porcelain itself. As per i have seen so far: this technique of paint is named dripping glaze ( some chinese name ) and was already used back in 940. Can anyone help me finding any more information and any prices, exact timeline, etc etc? Thank u in advance

Why is this an ink pot? Please explain to me where the ink is poured into to fill, and where and how do you get the ink onto your pen or quill
      What size is it?

      Dear Maryh1956,

It seem to be decorative and they would just apply the ink from the top ( very carefully ofcourse ) i think. Afther that they would put it in a plate or so. The size is: widht: 8 CM lenght: 7 CM

It is a Water Dropper. Probably Chinese. It is for water to drip on the ink square for calligraphy.

The glaze is Chun glaze in China or Namako glaze in Japan.
