Hi, My name is Michael
This little xenon belongs to my wife who found it at a yard sale some years ago. Recently she has been thinking of selling it. i don't know why it has made us both some very nice pics. But before she did i thought i'd find another through some web searches. I found nothing that looks like this one. The serial number indicates 1939 vintage .The lens barrel has no DOF marks, or focosing tab.The stops are from 1.5 to 9 the barrel looks to be Nickel and the glass seems to be coated. Does anyone recognize this lens?seen another like it? Any rarity and value? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated Thanks Mike
hi-i had one on my leica 3a in 1972-this lens is highly collectable lens-it is worth a lot of money-i saw one go on ebay on its own-no camera body-it went for for £400 thats about 900 us dollars- i wish i kept my leica with this lens on-it would be worth about £600 on ebay now-about 1400 us dollars. i part exchanged it in 1974 for a new minolta srt 101 camera. they gave me £60 in part exchange.
