Hi there this vintage Ideal Miss Revlon VT 18 doll appears to have one green and one blue eye. I'm not sure if this is a repair a variation or maybe an error never caught. The doll also appears to have long with stockings which I find a bit risqué for that time period. I was hoping someone might share there thoughts and opinions on this.
Ladies ALWAYS worse stockings. So did dolls! Panty Hose hadn't been invented yet.
I'm aware of that Celine but these are more Fishnet it might be tough to see either way that's not what I'm looking to have answered
I have seen a few dolls with different color eyes . Those are her original eyes and they did make some Miss Revlons with Green eyes but they are very scarce . It is a factory error . Her nylons are correct they did make them with a wider weave . However I would like to see seam since top white elastic doesn't looks replaced or these were made from Mom's old nylons . Be careful cleaning her as it looks like someone washed some of lower painted lashes off .
Thanks Everyone for the Info especially Manikin. I also was speaking to an expert on the dolls and believes these are also the Factory eyes and r an error at the end of production they probably placed what they had in the doll. The doll also Marked VT 18 is only 17 inches tall she pointed out they made a few this way at the end of production but you don't see them often. Thanks
Yours is not is the VT18 that is 17 in tall because they changed the painting of face on them and eyebrows for one were one stroke not several like yours they look different . But Cleaned up and a trip to beauty parlor will have her looking very nice .
