This is another find at the dump a lovely pair of Japanese chopsticks, bone/ ivory in a shark/fish skin carry case with knife.
I really like this item, I've put it in my cabinet of curiosities.
The case has what looks like horses inlaid on the outside and the knife looks like it's got a mark but I can't really see it. I'm guessing it's 19th Century but again I'm just guessing.
Any information on this piece would be great.
    Thanks for looking.

You found this at the dump?!!!?
I'd bet on ivory and a time frame end of 19th century/1920.
Love the set and the stingray's skin etui :-)

Yes I found it at the dump, I work there driving the shovels n cranes, I've been working there 12 years n have found a unbelievable amount of antiques among other things. Most of my items on here are from the dump.

Stingray skin, that sounds about right, I thought it was some kind of fish. . Thanks for that, kyratango
