I am very drawn to old pictures and paintings and found this a while back. I paid $10 for this and to me it was a good deal. These cards were already framed and I have not attempted to take this apart, but can tell by the frame that they are old. I believe these are old tobacco cards. The three middle cards which are more of a black-and-white tone have the Honest signature at the bottom. I really like these.
I remember trying to buy these about a year ago and missing out on the album, just was not in good enough shape. These look beautiful framed !
Cool-from what I can see these look like they are in decent shape, but like I said, I have not opened up the frame.
They are all from the Stars Of The Stage series (But from the first & third series. Ends are 1st series. Center cards are from the third series.) . 1889. Duke's Honest Long Cut Tobacco. W. Duke & Sons. Durham, NC & NY.
Each series had 25 cards. An entire set is quite valuable.

Thanks for the link and info Celine! I wish I had the whole set-didn't know there were 25 cards in the series.
