In 1978 superhero character watches of superman, batman, and other heros were produced. This manual wind Batman watch runs great even with the crack in the crystal.
There is a swiss company called Dabs and Co who also produced a Batman manual wind watch for DC comics in 1977 or 1978.
The one pictured here only says DC Comics inc. 1966,1978 and has a model number: 2519810480A and I`m not sure where it was manufactured.
This is the Timex issue, slightly before DABS, has a companion piece with Robin
and 1978 is correct
companion "Robin"

OOPS.....brainfart..... The DABS series was 1977 and Timex followed up in 1978. Sorry for misinfo
Thanks Kerry. I`m thinking of getting a new crystal for it. Not sure if the crystal can be glass or plastic.
Plastic was original, pretty common size. Your local jeweler should have
Timex used the "recess" crown case design from approx. 1968-79, so shouldn't be hard to locate
It`s better to keep it original like you say Kerry. Plastic it is.
@Rod, at one time, I had about 1000 postings on this forum, got mad, photos where showing up on flee-bay, deleted most and started over.....if you wish to see a particular piece, good chance I have an example :-)
I can understand why you got mad Kerry. Thank you for your kind offer. I`m sure I will be asking you as time pieces seem to cross my path in my travels.
Happy New Year Kerry!! Thank you for sharing your vast knowledge on time pieces much appreciated. Here's to a great 2017
Rod, was reading your profile..... Have you seen Man from UNCLE watch from the 1960's before?
