This is a full set of China service for eight. It also includes a large platter and vegetable. I don't know if it's Chinese or Japanese.

      Japanese Kutani
The first character is the mark for the Kutani region, the second the maker or kiln mark
You can look here and see if you can find your exact mark:

The mark reads the Nine Valleys.

Would anyone have a guess on how old it is?
    5. maryh1956 maryh1956, 8 years ago
If there’s no country of origin marked on it, that usual means it is earlier than 1898, however it may have had a sticker with the country on it, which has since been removed or worn off.
Check the link I posted, I believe he can help, and possibly do an appraisal for a fee

      Hi Lenterline,
I was wondering if you ever found out the value of your china set?
    8. Lenterline, 8 years ago
Bambino, I have not been able to establish the value of the set.
