Hello CW friends!!
This is my large cast iron Mr. Rabbit. I just got this fellow and have been working on him this week. He was severely rusted when I got him and it took quite a while to clean him up. I tried to choose the appropriate colors that I thought Mr. Rabbit would have chosen himself. Though he looks bright white in the pics, he's actually an antique white, or cream colored, if you will.
I love this one as he is so extremely well detailed in every way, from the buttons on his jacket right down to his pipe. Mr. Rabbit was cast in England by London Ornaments and they did an excellent job of casting him!
Though Mr.Rabbit is not vintage (yet), he is very highly collectible.
Some folks prefer the heavy rust look. But, I chose to paint him and seal him. He's solid cast iron and quite a big fellow at 18" tall and weighs in at 20 lbs. So, another that you wouldn't want to stub your toe on:)
Thanks for stopping to have a look and to say "Hello" to Mr. Rabbit!!!

Nice was or is he a doorstop?
thegatherer,
I think he is more of a lawn or garden decor piece. Too large to be a doorstop. Thanks for the comment and for dropping by to see Mr. Peter Rabbit!!!
Thanks everyone for the loves and for stopping in to say hello to Mr. Peter Rabbit,
