I believe this candlestick is Welz on the strength of the décor. It's oxblood on cadmium yellow cased in clear glass. I've not seen the shape before but I have the same décor on a Welz triple thorn vase.
Image four shows it next to an unattributed Art Deco candlestick in a very similar shape.

I am so glad I don't collect Czech glass - it would do my head in.
So many possibilities for attribution!
It's actually rather nicer in reality, Karen. I don't think it would do your head in. You would simply come to accept that some things were Czech and like them anyway. At the same time you'd hope for something to turn up which would identify the piece. If that didn't happen, so be it......nobody had died!
