This pretty little salt in a silver plate holder was a Christmas present to myself. It is made from 3 layers of cased glass - clear over pink over white, with an applied rigaree & raspberry prunt in yellow uranium glass. It looks very English - possibly Stevens & Williams?
Many thanks, CindB - a very Happy New Year to you, too! Many 2017 bring good times, good health & lots of gorgeous glass!
Holey moley! That is outrageous!!
I'm with Cindy - it looks like a beautifully decorated and sweet as hell little cupcake.
What a find IronLace!
Thanks, racer4four! I agree - like many examples of Victorian art glass, it's definitely a fanciful little confection!
Delicious! Looks more suited to sugar.....
A delightful piece of victorian glass IronLice thanks for sharing happy new year

Thanks for your comments, sklo42, MALKEY & welzebub. I've never seen ribbon candy before - it's so pretty! The salt definitely looks like it!
I love this Lace! This has to be one of the nicest salts I've seen... beautiful colors and wonderful design!
Many thanks, Rick55! I have only a few salts in my collection & this one is definitely the best.
Hi IronLace, Thank you for commenting on my salt ( I wouldn't have guessed that's what it was). I love the colours and very tight frill.
