Cut glass ashtray

Heavy glass with diamond cut design around outside, starburst ribbed bottom, rim appears gold plated ( has not tarnished )' with maple leaf cigarette holder. Again, glass is heavy, but does not show any rainbow color reflection under light, heavy dull thud when you tap it, has slight rust marks starting around base of gold trim rim, leads me to believe that it is a applied gold plate over metal. I've had it several years, found in Goodwill, would like to identify its manufactor.
