Today I visited an auction site in the next town and put a bid on a box of pottery. Among those was this metal teapot. I looked up all silver and silver plate makers marks - but no avail. I couldn't find a match for these stamps. I think it's a silver plate, because it's missing the typical marks for silver. On the other hand my husband is convinced it's silver because no other colour is showing through in deeper cuts and there are two dents on the lid - silver is much softer than other metals. The inside is quite corroded, probably it was brewing too much tea! Thank you for your help !!!
UPDATE : Thanks to Kivatinitz' link I was able to identify the manufacturer: George Henry Hulley, Sheffield, UK.

Beautiful! Could it be "Britannia metal" or some tin/nickel alloy?

Thank you, Elisabethan! Hubby polished it, so it looks now even shinier.

Thank you Kivatinitz for the super link. I think I found the maker on your link : George Henry Hulley, silver and silver plate maker from Sheffield, late 19th, early 20th century. By the way my husband took it to an expert and he confirmed it's a silverplate.
