Hello everyone, I hope someone can help me. I have these plates in my possession and would like to know more about them. I have been told they are pre 1860 English China. But i cannot find any information on them. One of the plates has about 4 hair line cracks, the others looks in great shape.
What are the marks on the back of the plates? Numbers?
The problem with unmarked Staffordshire porcelain is that nearly all of them are untraceable. There are/were a great many factories in Staffordshire which produced a great variety of porcelain items which do not carry a maker's mark or a pattern registration mark.
Yes they are numbers, all plates the same, 2014. And there is a slight 'squiggle' mark just above it. What do the numbers represent?? An artist perhaps??
Perhaps Coalport.
Can you photo the back and replace a photo with the new one. All you have to do is go in and edit, remove one or two and add the names. These are gorgeous. And honestly, don't worry so much about the hairline crack. Some pieces, if rare, are still very collectable as there may be only a few and you never know until you find out if they were ...well, you know. That may not always apply to these plates but always make sure before you discard or sell for a low price because of a flaw. Trust and believe, I'm one that knows that hard learned fact first hand!
I am very new to this...may I ask what Coalport is ??
OK, I have put up two new pics. Any help is appreciated......thank you
Those are beautiful!
I made a mistake and unsubscribed myself for my show and tell anyone know how to undo the unscribe ?? Please lol I can't find it on the site
