While we wait for my conversation with my long time friend about the jewelry which often ends up as old pawn, unfortunately for that specific family. I thought I'd post this vase I found and fell in love with because to me, this piece is not only a fine work of art, it's not something I have seen many of, meaning the colors. I just had a beautiful light bulb moment...wouldn't it be wonderful if I were to find the families of these pieces and simply return the pawned items back to them, of course without charging them anything! I would love that and I am hoping with everything I have, that I will be able to accomplish this. It may be a huge task but I'm up for it. To bring that kind of joy to someone would be all the 'payment' I would need!!! Thoughts and ideas of how to's are just flowing into my mind right now! I am so excited I have a rooted feeling that this can and will be done! Yey!!!

So on to the post I almost just forgot about! I thought the signature on the bottom (the lower one) was Durango, with the D chipped off. I can't find anything like it. I have seen a very few Navajo pieces in the purples but nothing for the Durango. And I can't read that first name at all. Maybe it says Bowers. and no idea what that 2nd signature says..

Any ideas? I never have luck w Google image searches. For some reason, mostly I get thing that say they are the same "size"! So maybe someone can teach me how to do that properly. I would greatly appreciate that for sure!

The little owl has no signature on it either but it's got the classic design and I love little things like that to add into my photos when I sell an item. The large metal thingy is what I found while looking for a painting to add to that wall. The metal frame, possible cast iron, very heavy seems to me that it was a frame that held tiles and could have very well been a table top. The round bowl shape metal piece is shaped like a bowl with the middle coming outward, convex I think that is. Both found at the same place on separate sides of the place but in my mind as soon as I saw them I picked them up and just felt they would work well together as one. I actually like the way that came out. Not bad for a $4.00 investment!! That's what I was hanging when the poor swan died! The nail dropped and hit it in just the right place.

I have always been one to love my own creations and or a one of a kind thing. I'm pretty sure not many would have thought of doing this. Would love your opinion on it too. I think it was Valentino that said how Quirky we all can be. I love it!

I know exactly what you mean. Honestly so far even with all the different things up on the shelf above the window...it's all good. Last one I was right there in Long Bch and in a Market, I FLEW outta there, It was centered 1/4 mile from my house! I thought for sure everything would be gone...Not one thing broke or even fell off!

Having my daughters desk lamp there really does need to be moved, her dad gave that to her before he passed...I'm moving it right now!

I love this post so much. It checks all the boxes. Soul sisters. :)
Thank you for your understanding and kind comments as I had to get $tuff done.
I don't have any family stuff at all, and I often wonder about it too. I don't know if it will help but I am donating a portion to the place where I bought it. I didn't advertise that when selling but just go in and give them the cash.
You have a great heart and I understand the torment when finding things. You just follow that big heart and all will be set right. :)
