This was made in France for use in France so no information found.
Anyway it is for placing ones iron when one is not ironing.
A trivet is a device for placing hot pans, irons, torture devices etc so they will not damage the furniture.
Based on the artwork on this I will guess 1930s. This trivet is pressed rather than cast iron. This one has carrying handles so you carry it along with the iron.
My Grand Mother had one!!! (Not for torture devices, lol!)
Nowadays "amiante", asbestos, is forbidden everywhere...
