      This doesn't answer your question...but did you know your MAD magazine, in the condition it appears to be in, is worth around $50...possibly more?

      Hello msmegs99! What you have there is a Westclox style 1a luminous alarm clock. Based on how the Westclox name is printed on the clock, it dates from 1923 to 1927. Unfortunately after doing some price searching for these Westclox alarm clocks, it doesn't look like there is a collector market for them. Even the ones from the 1920s are selling $5.00 to $30.00 USD. Hopefully I've helped give you the information you were looking for.
