    IronLace
    (928 items)

Here is a selection of glass from one of my display cabinets. A bit of everything!
Top shelf: includes 3 x Kralik floriforms, Kralik overshot basket with red flower, Kralik vase with applied cherries, pair thorn vases, leaf shaped uranium & ruby basket, Stourbridge rustic footed bowls, & others.
Second shelf: includes MOP satin glass, cut velvet glass, pink thread Peloton mini vase, pink & black Tango glass, Walsh Walsh Crushed Strawberry glass, "Cleveland" stripe salt in silver holder, & various other cased & applied glass.
Third shelf: Mostly uranium, including custard rose bowl on mirror plateau, English custard glass with applied decoration, some Bohemian art Nouveau pieces, Stourbridge twisted stem thorn vase & others. There also is a Walsh Walsh ribbon MOP satin rose bowl sitting on a green satin lily pad fairy lamp base - I know they don't match but still look nice together. Hoping to find the correct lotus style dome for the base! The small hanging basket on left side needs a clear rustic thorn holder - the one that it originally belonged with got broken in the mail.
Bottom shelf: assorted baskets including Peloton, spatter, applied flowers, Northwood pull up pattern & others. Central basket in uranium custard hobnail with pale blue interior is possibly Walsh Walsh Electric Blue?

Hi, I saw your reference to the lily pad and rose bowl combination. I thought you would like to know the lily pad was made for both a candle lamp and a rose bowl. They are pretty easy to tell one from another. Perhaps this article will help to explain the differences.

However, are attributions in this article that are without merit.

Hi SunshineGlass, no I don't use Facebook or any social media. I'm the shy & retiring type! And I don't wish to participate in something which has such a deleterious effect on society & democracy...
From your profile photo, it certainly looks like you have a nice collection. Looking forward to seeing some posts from you soon.
      Regards, Marin.

A very attractive display of some of your glass treasures, IronLace. Lots of shelf space and the glass shelving assists in capturing the diversity of shapes and colours. I have a modern cabinet, made in China, which I suspect was designed as a shop display counter. It has an interior light and is lockable. I've reversed its position as the sliding glass doors should be at the back! You've taken some time to organize your items but mine are just randomly scattered and sit where they land. I don't even sort the old from the modern or variations of a particular style or theme. I hope to post a shot or two of the cabinet and contents soon!

Many thanks, Russell117, & I look forward to seeing photos of your collection on display.
This photo of mine was taken back in 2016 - 2017 so it's quite out of date now. I've moved house since then & this cabinet is now out in the garden shed with tools & garden stuff in it. The mirror at the back of it got damaged so it's definitely not usable for displaying art glass in anymore. It was a very basic 1960s era piece which I got cheap second hand & repainted. When I moved in 2018 I got several other cabinets (both old & new) which you can see in some of my more recent posts.
