I found a box full of dolls, one was an original Storybook Dolls #201- "Wee Dolls for Wee Collectors" with the original box and certificate. This doll was in the same batch, but no original box, or labels. It feels heavy...and the face looks very similar, but it much more "finished", commercialized, compared to the #201 dated in the 1936-40. I wonder if this more like 1950?

      Dear Manikin,
Thank you very much for your feedback. How can you tell? There are no markings? Please understand I have zero experience in dolls. Just found a stash of it.
What would be your wild guess about the time period?

It is also relatively common to find Nancy Anns (particularly the frozen leg types) that have no markings or faint markings on their back as the result of a well-used doll mold. They were made of bisque , composition and plastic, Composition has a more rough look . Yours is Bisque .

Oh and she is not wearing right undergarment and possibly not her dress but it is a Nancy Ann Dress but kids changed their clothes between them . The slip is homemade .
