William Penn Adair "Will" Rogers (November 4, 1879 – August 15, 1935) was a stage and motion picture actor, vaudeville performer, American cowboy, humorist, newspaper columnist, and social commentator.
Known as "Oklahoma's Favorite Son", Rogers was born to a prominent Cherokee Nation family in Indian Territory (now part of Oklahoma). He traveled around the world three times, made 71 movies (50 silent films and 21 "talkies"), and wrote more than 4,000 nationally syndicated newspaper columns. By the mid-1930s, the American people adored Rogers. He was the leading political wit of his time, and was the highest paid Hollywood movie star. Rogers died in 1935 with aviator Wiley Post, when their small airplane crashed in northern Alaska.

Awesome Will Rogers post Roddy!! The book appears to be in very pristine condition.
For it's age it is in very nice condition. On the inside beginning, the illustrations have seperated from the spine but they all seem to be there. Besides this, yes this copy has aged very well. Thanks for dropping by Scott your comments are always greatly appreciated.
Just read this (again) several months ago. A real character.
He was so talented with a rope, in fact, that he was placed in the Guiness Book of World Records for throwing three lassos at once. One went around the horse's neck, another circled around the rider, and the third flew under the horse, looping all four legs together. One of my favorites about Will Rogers He lived a full life for sure blunderbuss2. Thanks for dropping by enjoyed reading your comment.
Thanks for stopping by Roy, Oficialfuel, blunderbuss2, Scott and vetraio50.
I read a lot about him and his life at San Simeon, he was a good friend of William Randolph Hearst !
He did so much in his life and rubbed shoulders with many prominent people from presidents to the rich Phil. Well liked by everyone the kind of person that found only the good in people.
