This is an interesting Peloton glass vase. To me this looks like it would date from the 1920s or 1930s, as the bright thread colours fit in with the typical Tango glass colour schemes. The vase is made from cased glass, clear over white (not a solid white, it is a very fine spatter when seen in person) with an amber foot, which has an embossed texture. The threads are orange, red, bright yellow & dark blue. The top has a star shape profile.
If this vase had the threads in the Victorian pastel tones of pink, lemon yellow & pale blue, with a clear foot, it would look right at home in the 1880s. But just a simple colour change makes it look modern.
Any thoughts on who made it would be much appreciated!
I've added a few more detail shots, & the vase measures 20 cm tall, 11.5 cm across the top rim & 9 cm across the footed base.
Loove the peloton here!
Many thanks czechglass5 for your thoughts. I've added some more photos & the dimensions. It is hard to capture the white spatter effect, it is quite subtle. Easier to see in real life than a photo.
Thanks also, sklo42! I love Peloton glass, & I promise there will be many more examples to come!
