    Antique apothecary jar that I picked up at an estate sale. Not sure if this is French or not. Has three letters (Idi) on one side and three on the other side (Sco).. there is also a date/number of 1653 on bottom. Does have a large chip on top. This probably dates to late 1800's. hope you enjoy!

      Hi Mrstyndall i,ve a similar delft ware pot in blue
      yours i thinking Italian but i,m no expert i believe its Maiolica and if genuine much earlier

      Looks more Italian, but thats just a guess from the front. I love the heraldic almost coat of arms depiction on the front !

      Hi if its genuine Maiolica it could be 17th century
      Majolica is mostly found victorian glaze decor etc even though it can be very early to
