Silverplate Peter Rabbit Beatrix Potter Cup(Werne Co ) A bit Later I got him also in an antique shop a porcelain plate with a cute scene from a Beatrix Potter book. Wedgewood from England
I guess I gifted our baby boy with things that could become heirlooms as time go by. That is a nice feeling.
THANKS!!!
I love this! My sons were also gifted with Beatrix Potter items, including an entire Beatrix Potter Book collection. Those boys are now 19 and 21. But, we still have there Beatrix Potter items.
That is nice. The character of Peter Rabbit is such a sweetheart--a good way for kids to learn to appreciate reading. What do they read as youngsters now?? Seems I see LOT of hyperactivity in the stores. And as they climb and jump all over and fall out of the baskets--the parents just smile and look the other way. Well, kids will be kids I know--but could the parents be parents maybe? (Especially at a grocery store-)-Today a dad was shopping with a (about ) 3 year old in a basket-- I watched the dad stand there while the boy reached out and squeezed every banana in sight. He couldn't care less. Didn't stop him at all. ) The kid needed to have read "Bananas In Pajamas"--Remember that one.? Nice books and gentle, funny TV series. :Theme--Bananas In Pajamas Are Coming Down The Stairs') Ya know like bananas are your friends--Hee Hee. My kids had bananas in pajamas dolls to sleep with and cuddle. Well, I am off subject--again! Sorry.
