I have a chest of drawers and mirrored dresser that have a unique acorn looking carving centered on the bottom front of each. They both have swirled front legs and straight back legs. I am not sure if there is a special name for this type of furniture, but I would like to know if there is so when I look for additional pieces I will be able to know what to search for.
Can anyone give me some search options?
I think this is called French Provincial. It's really nice. I love that runner you have there too. As I was just saying to other furniture pieces on here, you've got to look in, under the drawers, inside with drawers pulled out, under the bottom and on the back and hopefully there will be something there.!
I had posted my rug http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/195873-my-favorite-rug - still would like to know if it has a Special name.
I did not think to look at drawer bottoms, but the very back only listed #'s, so I did not get any info from it.
Thank you shareurpassion!
There is nothing on the inside any drawers to help... sigh
Can anyone suggest searchable terms for the carving patterns?
