This is another vase by Ernest-Baptiste Leveille who, as I stated in my other post, worked in Paris and was a pupil (later partner) of Eugène Rousseau, one of the Art Nouveau movement's founders. This is a later piece, circa 1890, and by this time Leveille owned the company. He continued Rousseu's style of design using Craquelle glass, Marble glass, Agate glass and imitation gems. This is an example of his Marble technique and is my favorite vase of his. It features brick-red glass with very light green striations, cut top, hand painted gilding, three dimples and measures 6" h x 5" w. As always, thanks for looking!

Thank you Malkey, Karen, Peggy, Mrstyndall, Kyra and Scott... I appreciate your guy's comments and love! Also, thanks for the love Fort, Pat, EZA, Melanie, Kyra, Kevin, Swfin, Flea, Ho2, Master, Aura, Mike, Ivonne and Roy Melanie, I appreciate your guys continued support!

@ Malkey... Thanks so much, I was hoping you'd like it :-)

@Karen... No, not really, it's just that I have some French pieces on my list that have recently come up for sale . I've been searching for a Leveille crackle vase, but have been unsuccessful. Recently, while doing my searches, the two Leveille pieces I just posted came up and we're misidentified. I was able to get them at a fantastic price, so I went ahead and grabbed them. Unfortunately, for me, my "gotta have" list is pretty long. Lol.

@Peggy... I'm glad you said that because the rim is what really caught my eye. I love the rest, but the top really excites me.

@Scott... Thanks, I love really love them! What I really want is one of his crackle vases. If you could point me in the direction of one... LOL

@Kyra... Thanks Kyra. Like I said earlier, the thing that really caught my eye was the rim, but the rest has all the elements that I love... texture ( the rim), the colors and the dimples.

You have to look at the close up pic to appreciate this one!!! It's gorgeous too! Have you ever seen glass blown in person? When I was very young and my parents used to take us to Knott's Berry Farm here in Cali, I used to watch them in amazement blow little animals, carousels, all of it...I could have stayed right there all day and been happy! It's a wonder I don't have a ton of blown glass.

Thank you Nice and Sue, I appreciate the comment and love, and thanks for the love Mrs T, I appreciate it!

@ Sue... Yes I've seen glass blowing many times while visiting Venice. You can actually go over to the island of Murano for free. What happens is, as you're walking around St. Mark's Square (the main square in Venice with loads of people walking around) you have water taxi drivers giving free rides to the island. They receive a commission based on the number of people they bring directly to one of the glass houses. Everyone is brought into the workshop where they get to watch the masters at work. You can stay watching as long as you like, and afterwards, you go into their showroom where they have all their goodies :-) It's fascinating!

Thanks so much Michelle! Even though it's not everybody's taste, I love it! The cuts on the top reminds me a little bit of Pallme Koenig glass which I love. Also, thanks to everyone who loved, it's all appreciate it!
