    The prickly pear on this postcard is not native to Hawaii, but is featured on the card for some reason. the card was sent out in 1949. it looks more like Baja California than Hawaii - in my opinion.

      In Hawai'ian it's called Panini. It was an early introduction soon after cattle ranches were established.
