Your house looks fantastic. The balustrade, the doors, architraves - it's got so much to love.

Thank you so much! There's so much to this house! Built in 1849! All 6700 square feet of it!

Do I see an old bottle on the floor?
    9. Lamplover78 Lamplover78, 8 years ago
lol... yes actually that's a old stain glass lantern. . But i have a whole shelf of old bottles.. most date around 1910.. but have a neat old paint can that dates 1865 i believe. .

The clock case shows a strong Eastlake influence, so suspect this dates from the 1870s- 90s time period.

I am not that great on clocks themselves-- another member (bruce) can probably help with an identification. A better photo of the dial or written details would be helpful.

Its actually James Condliff he specialized in skeleton clocks from 1816 and retired in 1861. I'll get some better pictures!

A long case regulator of high quality . It has a pendulum of glass jar filled with mercury . Missing the sweep seconds hand . Be careful who overhauls that . Most clock repairers aren't qualified to do a high precision movement such as that . Don't just replace the weight cord . The movement is too dirty to run as it is . Needs clean , polish , and lubrication .

Slackjack the hands are all there. .just not a good picture. The string broke. .and i noticed the top of the mercury one lil brass piece is missing. . Would that effect the time. . I have not wound or messed with any of it. .really want a click guy to look at it first. .

And thank you antiquerose! If you go to my post the very first one is a oil lamp. .i have a picture of the house on it!

I have swung the pendulum. Just to see what it would look like if it ran. And it ran for 7 minutes. Would love to hear it ding

Ok i have an update. I found a old picture prolly from 1940 or 1950. Found in the original clock owners stuff. . I thought it was neat. It's an 8x10 picture. . I have a bunch of them of their old house. Before they bought mine. So i added it!
