Bottle Whimsey

I just couldn't refuse taking this home with me when I saw it sitting on the shelf at the GW. I was just so intrigued by the fact that someone took the time and had the patience to build this entire structure inside of a bottle ! I have since done a lot of research and I have learned so much about a subject I probably would have known nothing about it if wasn't for this awesome piece of folk art, this truly is an amazing form of art. However I have as of yet not been able to find out who or when it was made so if anyone can tell me anything about it I would certainly appreciate it ! Thanks !
