Hanging oil lamp match holder

I bought this to go with my pull down hanging oil lamp. Was told it was 1890s. But really don't know anything about it. Definitely paid a nice sum for it. . But i really liked it and couldn't find anything else i liked as much. Has the old chain . The bottle is very uneven. . And misshaped. Kind of looks like a seem in the middle. The top bumpy edge is to strick your match on.
