FOLDING BOWIE POCKET KNIFE

I have this knife that was given to me by my father. I'm curious about it's origin and history. I don't have much information about it. Only that the makers engraving on the blade is KCW. Literature I've found online is limited. Some say India and some say Spain. I think its origins are India as my father lived there as a child.
