These are not great pictures, but something to show history and diverse pocket watch chains at what I consider most interseting. I purchased this from a lady in ILL thru ebay. She had named the ppl in the pictures, upon questioning her, she told me where they where they lived in Wisc and her relationship to them. I was able to research the names and heritage and geneology of this family from the parents of these folks shown in the pocket watch fob, to the now surviving widow of the great great great grandson of them. These pictures are of a couple Married in Germany in 1849 and migrated to the USA in 1869. The pictures are of the bride and groom, this magnificant slide chain, bar, globe and slide is made of 14kt gf. The glass bubble which opens, holds on each side the bride and groom. The chain was a bit stuck and tangled upon receipt, for which i put two drops of vegetable oil between my fingers and gently massaged them apart. My entire Bedroom is decorated in original Victorian including a childs mourning gown from 1890's and a Victorian wedding gown from 1860 to the Eastlake Dresser, tables, chairs, dolls in christening gowns and lamps.

Thank you Jason for that blonde comment, needed a good laugh this morning. Soon more pocket watches, accessories and antique jewelry to post. Today posted one display of our Northwood Amethyst Carnival Glass. More to come. Camera batteries are low and I shake when taking pictures are not helping the clear crisp image it can take. later man, standwick.

You may want to set the camera on a stack of books so it does not shake, the difference is huge.
