Thank you SOLVED GUIDO CACCIAPUOTI 1892-1953
NOT BAD FOR $15.00
Is it Pottery, or plaster ( the old type ) Chalkware ??
It's pottery ceramic
Still looks like Chalkware ( plaster ) to me as I can see some white small areas in the pics...............and just to show you how well Chalkware can look, see my Deer Head. as it is TRUE Chalkware ( except the horns )

DEFINATELY not CHALKWARE it's hand painted but if you look up his other works you will be able to tell
Wow. What an INCREDIBLE artist!
You're welcome! You did very well for your 15 sawbucks. :-))))
Sawbucks are actually ten dollar bills.
That would be $150.00 not $15.00.
Been trying to understand an English translation from an Italian bio of the family. Very confusing indeed. Giuseppe seems to be the patriarch, and then somewhere along the line appears Guido - but there are so many names, uncles, cousins, in-laws etc. All I did was a search on the last name - honest - I'll be dreaming about them all!
