I was left this by an Aunty but I do not know anything about it. It's glass. No markings on bottom of pitcher or glasses. It's gorgeous but I'm not sure as to whether I should use it or ???

This great set is from Nuutajarvi Notsjö of Finland, and is part of their Flora range.
It's rare to have a pitcher with the glasses, and lilac was not a common colour.
This was a design by the great designer Oiva Toika and your set is very collectible.
In recent years there has been glass from Asia using the Flora moulds but I have never seen them in lilac or with the pitcher.
It's a great set.

Thank you so much for that detailed information. It's such a beautiful set. Bit worried about keeping it now with 5 kids who break most everything. Maybe I should find a home for it somewhere it will be safe. Very glad I didn't use it.
If you love it, use it. Value is a secondary consideration. I do have some good stuff put away but regularly use glassware that is deemed collectible, and love and admire it everyday!
I believe that is not lilac...that is Alexandrite glass. Do they change to more of a blue in different light? I had a set of flora glasses that were alexandrite so I was wowed to see a full set with a pitcher! You lucky dog!
