I bought my house in 1982 from an estate. The attic had a number of older items in it, including lamps. This is the second of a group that I'm posting hoping to get some of your expert opinions. I know nothing about lamps and/or what is collectible. This oil lamp has oil in it as well as a wick, after all these years would the oil still burn and should I even try to light it? I have absolutely no experience with oil lamps.

I have one exact lamp than your. A friend of mine gave it to me years ago and told me that the lamp was over 70 years old. Mine open clockwise. Like you I don't know much about it. But is a beautiful lamp and looks great when burn, specially with green or blue oil. Keep it and enjoy it.
