These snuff bottles measure approx 8cm. They look a bit new to be antique. Can anyone shed any light on the mark on the base.

Cork stoppers? Plastic? Looks like a combo of transfer print and hand painting. I don't think the mark on the bottom is of any significance.

Chinese snuff bottles were only made in the Qing Dynasty, which started in 1644 and ended in 1911, and contrary to what some people think, they were used only for holding powdered tobacco, usually with some herbs and spices in it, which was inhaled through the nose.

The stoppers are porcelain, as are the bottles. Or if thinking they are porcelain is hopeful, they are definitely not plastic. They 'chink clink' when tapped with a metal fork.
