    'Darlington Stainless' cutlery mystery.

My great grandfather was a stockbroker in Stockport in the 1920/30's. According to family lore he advised clients to invest in a company making stainless steel cutlery on the basis that this could be a big success. Unfortunately, the company failed and as a matter of honour and professional reputation he made good his clients losses.

I have a few items of the cutlery handed down through the family which have always been in everyday use as far back as I can remember. They are marked only 'Darlington Rustless' but I don't know if this was the company name, brand or just the style. Does anyone know anything about the maker?
