Was given this table by a coworker - he salvaged it from a house that was being leveled- neither of us have any history or background on it.
I LOVE this piece, and as much as I always try to keep/ work with the original finish on older pieces, this one will be stripped down to bare wood.
I noticed tony portions of a label on the underside of the pop up leaf, but don't know enough about manufacturers to figure out who it might be.
    Any guesses?

Impossible to guess who made it - there were hundreds and hundreds of furniture makers who went out of business and left no records. A label is key. You could try going to the history room of your local library. Often they will keep cards and info on makers in your area.
