I am going to post a selection of my Tango glass now, starting with these colourful vases with applied flowers. I've seen this type of vase attributed to Kralik. They are made from cased glass with a ribbed outer layer in clear glass.
The red one with a yellow flower & black leaf was one of my earlier buys, from over 20 years ago. As you can see, it is missing the stem from the flower, but it still looks great.
The orange one with clear/spatter flower & blue leaf was from a flea market, probably around 15 or so years ago & is in perfect condition.
Both measure 21 cm tall.
Wow Ironlace! I have been so used to your delicate and sweetly lovely pieces that these are a real change! Wonderful- bright and colourful.
Many thanks, racer4four! Yes, these are a bit different, from my earlier days of collecting glass, when I did get more brightly coloured pieces. I did have a lot of other red, orange & yellow Tango (& other glass such as 50s Murano) which I have sold over the last few years. My collection was way too eclectic & I needed to give it a focus - which is Victorian glass. I've kept a few favourite examples of Tango - but seeing the amazing examples in others collections here has rekindled my interest in it somewhat...could be dangerous! :-)
Yes, these are believed to be Kralik production. Nice examples, not all that commonly seen.
Many thanks, welzebub. I would happily buy another one in a different colour scheme to finish the set...I think I saw a lemon yellow one on eBay once but missed out on it.
