This large Peloton glass bowl looks like it dates from the Tango glass era of the 1920s - 1930s, judging by the simple form & bright thread colours of yellow, orange, red & cobalt blue.
It measures 9.5 cm tall, 17 cm across the opening of the top rim, & 14 cm across the base.
The Peloton threads are completely blended in, with no texture at all. It is cased clear over white.
This piece was one of the earliest things I ever bought on eBay & it wasn't described as Peloton glass...but I thought it looked like it, just with a different colour scheme to the pastel threaded Victorian type.
I remember it took a really long time to arrive, & that the seller actually refunded me because we both thought it must have gotten lost in the mail...anyway, some months later it finally turned up! There are some chips around the inside of the rim, I guess it was a more utilitarian item than most Peloton glass tends to be...still an interesting, colourful piece though.
Many thanks to all who are loving this!
