    Good day everyone,
Pictured here is a 1969 Dinky toy catalog featuring the new line up of toys. When I came across this catalog at a garage sale I bought it right away. The new line up included Captan Scarlets toys, The Thunderbirds, Joe 90 and The prisoner along with some neat oil and semi trucks and trailers and a line up of cars and other toys. Any older Catalogs from train, toy and other companies are always good for reference to see what was included with the different pieces and for sure the colorful pages are always appealing.

Oh, that is really cool! Remember when you got a new Tonka toy, back in the early 1970's, they always came with a little brochure of the other Tonka toys available. I remember staring at those for hours on end as kid!!

A good year for Dinky. Hopefully they weren't ruined by Hotwheels like Matchbox was.

This is for sure Kurt some of us will always have that young kid in us. Those catalogs held one's interest for hours on end.

You are so right fortapache.Hot wheels changed the scene for sure when the redlines arrived and of coarse the sets and sizzlers that followed were a huge hit. Probably the only thing that kept Dinky Toys alive for awhile after hot wheels entered the scene was their contract to produce small screen popular British shows vehicles after they beat corgi to the draw. From reading a little bit it looks like matchbox and dinky toys merged in the 1980's. Neither company was able to regain their share of the market they had enjoyed before hot wheels arrived.
