    IronLace
    (930 items)

Two piece of Victorian cased glass featuring mica flakes & applied cherries.
The pink basket measures 14 cm tall including the handle.
The blue vase measures 17 cm tall at the highest point of the crimped rim.
I have owned the basket since 2004, & the vase was an eBay find from last year.
I thought these were English, but I have seen an attribution here on CW that claims a German origin. Wherever they're from, they are definitely something special.

I would not rule out Bohemian as a country of origin either. They are both nice examples..... Love the pastels with Mica!!

Here's an original catalog illustration for both shapes:

Many thanks, welzebub...these are favourites of mine, I love pieces with applied cherries, there will be a few more to come as I upload more photos.

Thanks so much charcoal, it is really nice to see these items in their original context as a garniture set. I hope to find some of the other shapes in this design as well.
