The first is a 1977 Conrail commuter schedule for service between Madison, NJ and New York, NY.
The second is a New Jersey Transit Morristown Line schedule from 1981.
The Lackawanna, then Erie-Lackawanna, followed by Conrail, operated this line, which today is run by Transit of New Jersey.
These trains follow the routes developed by The Lackawanna many years ago. The Lackawanna was a well planned and well maintained system, as much of its trackage, and many of its original structures are still standing, and quite a few are in use today.
