I bought this antique bridge arm floor lamp from am antique guy that was about to retire. It's extremely heavy. Cast iron. . I would think this was the original shade.. is a lil worn. He said he had got it from a old friend of his that was a dentist. The guy passed away. . But he did the guy loved the lamp just the way it was. .and wouldn't fix the shade. .used it just as is.

Do NOT use that shade like it is! The material over the bulb used to be stretched over the frame!

I use it occasionally. .it really don't get hot. It used to be better but my mom was gonna fix it for me and made it worse. .so i didn't let her touch it. . But i actually have a pattern to sew a new shade. Just not in a hurry to do so yet. . I have other lamps i use more. .

You could easily have someone restore that shade for you. It's rare so please sell it on eBay if you don't want it!

I'm not sure how i want it restored. So have just left it as is for now. I have some black satin material and a blue print for a cut out..
