This is my new doll, circa 1850s. Her papier-mâché head is known as the Pauline style by German doll maker Johann Andreas Voit, and her body is French and all leather. I cannot begin to express how thrilled I am. She is just about perfect from her shining glass eyes to her tiny teeth. Her pate is painted black with the signature curlycue curls framing her temples, but I will be displaying her for now with the wig and bonnet with which she arrived. Her fingers have rings and her wrists have bracelets. Her clothing and shoes are perfect in almost pristine condition. Thank you for sharing in my enthusiasm! I've given her a new name-- Fidelma.
Fantastic, Fidelma is a beauty!
