I would love to get some feedback on this Lady in Red theater poster dated 1947. This poster is one of two that I own. The other is framed and is in VERY Good condition, but the pictures had a lot of glare so I photographed this poster. It was stored in a box in a home in St. Thomas V.I.. The provenance is excellent, a family member was employed by the movie theater there to change out the posters. He collected the posters that weren't used and kept them for his own collection. I can't find any hard information about the value as there are apparently very few available. Thanks for looking and providing any information that you might be able to share.

Yes, a beautiful cardboard insert. These were usually displayed in a standard gold painted wood frame and changed out monthly or seasonally by the vendor. I flipped through a few books but could not find this version. International signs are not as well documented as American signs. And typically not as valuable. But I think this one probably bucks the trend. Slogan is in English and the image is visually appealing ;0). Similar signs of the period in this condition usually sell for a few to several 100 USD. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the information! I'm curious, since the inserts were printed in the USA by Coca Cola and they were used in an American owned territory, could that possibly make a difference in the value, especially since they are rarer?

      Thank you again!

I think the sign has the same value no matter. It has a lot going for it. The damage hurts value most. If it is "rare", that certainly helps.

Again I thank you for the information.

I recently inherited one of these posters from my aunt, who was the model for this poster and several other coke posters from the late 1940s. Can someone recommend a dealer who could help me determine the value of these posters and/or be interested in purchasing the collection?
