That is a pretty nice No.3! The Internet Archives has a electronic version of a very good reference book for Stanley Rules. https://archive.org/details/boxwoodivory00phil

The No.3 is a nice pocket sized caliper rule. The Ivory version of the same model is a No. 40 also quite nice. If you go through the book you will notice the rules came in a number of different "trim" levels it is interesting how they offer a one in every price range. If You look on the back of the caliper and in the groove it rides in your should see a matching set of number which was used during the production process to keep the matched sets togeth in each production run.
