vintagelamp
(1101 items)
Found another gem in my favorite shop. This is a small chandelier that the shop owner feels is from circa 1940, but I believe that it is a waterfall chandelier from the 1930s.
It measures just 18 inches from top to bottom.
Thanks to PhilDMorris, I discovered that this is a newer chandelier.
Nicefice, Thank you!
Lamplover, Thank you!
That is really BEAUTIFUL vintagelamp!!!
jscott, Thank you very much!
I think it is new, as most chandaliers are, and the prisms are not the older ones but newer ones around 1985. However it is a beautiful piece. I owned 9 chandaliers with about 3 of them, of larger size, with gorgeous prisms like these on them.
PhilDMorris, Thank you so much for your expertise. I like it regardless, but I guess the shop owner didn't realize that it was not old. By the way, I love all of your beautiful items and the great way that they are displayed. Bob
I wondered about the blued chrome. (Shiny gunmetal?) It's so pretty, though!
Celiene, I love it also. I always buy because I love something and for no other reason.
This rare hanging light is not new. It was in it's original 1920's upstairs hallway and had years of dust and fly specks. no to mention the original cloth wiring!! it is chrome over brass and appears to be Chase. also there is excellent patination on all of the brass linkage and prism wires. The priams are original cut crystal. GUARANTEED
