Folk Art Drawings can be found on scraps or re-purposed paper often. Paper was not always in such great supply! In this case, a pair of drawings from Georgia from 1888 are done on used envelopes (which also date the work.) Fine dress and two hats on the southern gentleman contrast with the African-American "field hand" gentleman of the era. Likely done by a child.
