Brass Candlestick Korea

This tall candle holder is brass and is 31 1/2" high and 8 3/4" wide at it's widest. It has a label on the bottom that says made in Korea. My father in law brought this home from Korea after being stationed there in the late 50's or very early 60's. My wife knows nothing other than this. We are wondering if anyone knows if this is an item that would be used in any kind of religious ceremonies.
