When I saw this brooch, I immediately thought of Coro. I remembered the beautiful Duette brooches Coro made but my brooch isn’t one of them!
I think that this brooch was made in the 1940’s, however, I read somewhere that some reproductions were made in the 1960’s. Based on the kind of metal, I am inclined to say that this brooch is rather from the 40’s (but I could be wrong).
This brooch is made of pot metal and then painted. I belief the eyes originally had rhinestones. I will see if I find a suitable replacement. The brooch is more than 3 and ½ inches and, overall, in very good vintage condition, with exception of the eyes.
Here is a link to a brooch that seems to be just like mine, with the exception of the painting:

This link shows a similar designed brooch decorated with rhinestones and made of a better material. It is a Duette fur clip attributed to Coro:

Thanks for looking:)

Many thanks for your comments, Efesgirland Manikin:)
they look like quetzales. very beautiful!
Thanks so much for your comments, ho2cultcha and valentino:)
I have no idea about most birds. To me, the ones on the brooch look "exotic" and I really should have checked it out before listing the brooch.
Mary, I have so many brooches in the shape of flowers so now I started to look for any other design because flowers, unless really well designed, are starting to bore me a bit - LOL
Many thanks for loving my brooch:
